WITH the wintry weather relenting, Loftus and Whitby Athletics Club hosted the fifth North Yorkshire and South Durham League fixture at Caedmon School.
Underfoot conditions were testing in places but the weather perfect for running and spectators.

As in previous years, the club put on races for junior schools' years three and four, as well as five and six, both over 1,200m.
