FYLING Hall junior students played host to Stakesby and Hawsker schools at an inter-school sports day.
Thanks to fine, if rather blustery, weather the sports went ahead outdoors on the field rather than in the main hall. Hawsker took first place in the tournament which consisted of football, rounders and kwik cricket with each game lasting 16 minutes.

The teams consisted of boys and girls and the fun went on from 11am until 2.30pm.

Girls and boys also tackled a bouncy castle assault course and enjoyed a barbecue.

Hawsker walked away with the winners trophy and the prize-winners’ chocolate.

The event was such a success, the schools hope to repeat it next year.
