A PUPIL at Fyling Hall School is celebrating her recent first place in the North Yorkshire and South Durham League cross country race.
Year 11 student Charlotte Edge won the Under 17s race at the Croft Aerodrome in Darlington in a time of 26min 52secs.

This follows on from her fourth place in the English Schools Fell Racing Championships in Sedbergh.

Charlotte, who now runs for Scarborough, came to Fyling Hall at the start of the autumn term from Spain.

While living in sunnier climes, she was the Murcia regional cross champion and is one to watch for the future.
