PHOTOS of pupils at Fylingthorpe School around 1958 bring back happy memories for Gazette reader Janet Sedman, who emailed these to our office.
The seniors photograph (above) shows her sister Margaret Jaques and the infants photograph (right) has Janet, nee Jaques, with the other members of her classes.
"I wonder how many of these members of the school recognise themselves?" she said.
"Fylingthorpe School was situated at the top of Thorpe bank and is now housing. We used to walk to the canteen which does not exist these days but was also the village hall in the 1960s -to late 70s, for our lunch.
"Walking down 'Lingers' to the canteen was a daily event. "Then the new school was built and it was wonderful."
