Fylingdales Parish Council was given £1,500 by Scarborough Council towards renewal and repair work at the village's Tracey Hutchinson Memorial Playground.
The work will include replacing the playground’s coble fishing boat with a modern play boat and fitting, installing a new baby swing, refurbishing the existing climbing frame and monkey bars and installing new safety matting.

The total cost of the scheme will be £30,100 and the parish council had asked the borough council for £3,000 towards it.
