In your issue of 14 October, the writer of letter "Concern at lack of disabled provision" unfortunately is badly misinformed.
Whitby Disablement Action Group (Whitby DAG) keeps an up-to-date list of premises offering accommodation for disabled.

We in turn have premises adapted for wheelchair use.

I have today checked with Whitby DAG who are anxious for it to be known they were never contacted by John Rutt, St James Avenue, London (of which there are six).

Also I have no doubt that our local tourist office which works closely with Whitby DAG were never contacted either.
