Published Date: 24 June 2008
In the Northern Echo for 3 June there is an article in about building a village hall in Sutton near Thirsk with money from the lottery.
The village hall at Sandsend has been closed for a few years as it is in such a poor condition.

What chance is there of getting some help for our place.

They have been doing different things to try and get money for it.

The village hall is missed as we don’t have much more in the village.

They used to do functions in the hall but are unable to do these things now.

RJ Walters, Meadowfields, Sandsend
