About a month ago a Whitby friend sent me a copy of the photo of a cricket team in Lealholm in the 1950s.
The man in the Oxford striped jacket on the right (with dapper moustache) was my father Frank William Dutton.

He taught geography at the Whitby Grammar School before we emigrated to Canada in 1958.

He died in Victoria, British Columbia in 1983.

The photo is in pride of place at home.

It brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for publishing it.

Jennifer Dutton, Kingston, Ontario, Canada
