How could Scarborough Borough Council do that?

Round my area bags of garden waste have been on pavements now for over a week waiting for collection and when I walked over the swing bridge yesterday at 11am, a large wooden pallet was propped against the litter bins and black bin liners and cardboard boxes were outside one shop in Sandgate.

In answer to Tony Richardson’s letter regarding Whitby being spoiled by monstrous buildings, is there any wonder when it is a fact the councillors at Scarborough sitting on the planning committee don’t pay site visits before making decisions, it’s left down to our local councillor who is a minority voice.

The skateboarders have at long last got their skateboard park.

I am pleased for them, they have waited a long time.

But it’s an accident waiting to happen.

Skateboards, bicycles and in-line skates are all using the park – it’s sad to see there is no supervision and I don’t see any of the users wearing helmets or protective clothing.
