WHIST drives on Friday nights in Hawsker Parish Hall at 7.30pm, all welcome.
THE next meeting of the Whitby Rural (South) Community and Police Liaison Group will be held on Thursday 15 May at 7.30pm in Hawsker Chapel Rooms. All are invited to attend and hear the presentation of the police report and question the officers or raise any points regarding policing in the surrounding areas.
DOMINOES drive on Saturday 10 May at 8pm in the village hall. Refreshments and raffle, proceeds for the Hawsker Dog Club. Young people welcome with an adult.
HAWSKER WI meets at 7.15pm on Tuesday 13 May. Speaker is Elaine Spilman on Posh Puddings, competition My Favourite Dessert (home-made). All ladies welcome.
DOMINOES drive at the Windmill Inn, Stainsacre on Wednesday 21 May in aid of the Ryedale and Whitby Branch of the Alzheimers Society. Start at 8pm, entry £1 including refreshments, all welcome.
HAWSKER Parish Hall is situated three miles from Whitby alongside the A171 Whitby to Scarborough road. The hall has a large tarmac free car park and is available for meetings, birthday parties and other functions on Mondays Tuesdays and Fridays between the hours of 9am-5pm and Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 1-5pm.

CARPET Bowls each Wednesday in Hawsker Parish Hall from 2.15pm, new members welcome.
HAWSKER Dog Club meets in Hawsker Parish Hall on Mondays, 6-7pm and on Thursdays 6-8.30pm. For details ring Carol Crowe on 0777 950 1973.
HAWSKER Dog Club is now starting a puppies and beginners' class on Thursday afternoons, starting 19 April in the village hall, 1-2pm. Ring Carol on 07768 689968 for a place on the waiting list.
MARTIAL arts on Mondays in Hawsker Parish Hall, 7.30-8.30pm for children and Wednesdays 7.30-9pm for adults.
TAI Chi, a gentle exercise routine which promotes a healthy balance in mind and body, suitable for all ages and any level of fitness, every Monday, 8.30-9.30pm in Hawsker Village Hall. For details contact Alasdair on 880656.
