EVENTS

DOMINOES in the parish hall on Saturday nights, 8pm prompt, supper, raffle, young people welcome with an adult. Proceeds alternate for parish hall redevelopment funds and Hawsker Dog Club.
NEW committee members and booking secretary needed for Hawsker Village Hall. Ring Ruth on 880800.
HAWSKER Parish Hall social afternoons on Tuesday 7 September, 2.30-4pm. Refreshments, raffle, plant stall, book exchange, trinket stall. Everyone is welcome to come along and give ideas of how you would like the parish hall committee to proceed with these social afternoons. Tombola gifts would be appreciated. Bring to social or ring Peter White on 880981.
WHITBY Rural Community and Police Group meet in Hawsker Chapel on Monday 6 September at 7.30pm. All members of the public are invited to express their views to the local commander and member of the police authority.
HAWSKER-cum-Stainsacre Parish Council meets in Hawsker Methodist Chapel on Tuesday 7 September. Planning on display from 7.15pm, public question at 7.30pm, all residents welcome.
LINE dancing in the village hall on Tuesday 7 September. Beginners £4, 8-9pm, improvers and intermediates £4, 9-10pm, both classes £5.50, all welcome.

THE parish hall is available for all types of activities and private functions etc. For details ring Ruth on 880800.
ALL Saints' Church is available for community use. Tea making facilities, £7 per hour. Details from 80973.

CLUBS
CARPET Bowls each Wednesday in Hawsker Parish Hall from 2.15pm, new members welcome.
HAWSKER Dog Club meets in Hawsker Parish Hall on Mondays, 6-7pm and on Thursdays 6-8.30pm. For details ring Carol Crowe on 0777 950 1973.
MARTIAL arts on Mondays in Hawsker Parish Hall, 7.30-8.30pm for children and Wednesdays 7.30-9pm for adults.
TAI Chi, a gentle exercise routine which promotes a healthy balance in mind and body, suitable for all ages and any level of fitness, every Monday, 8.30-9.30pm in Hawsker Village Hall. For details contact Alasdair on 880656.
