THE February meeting was opened by the president and the minutes of the last meeting were read by Chris Hebron.
Forthcoming events included Tissington Well Dressing, the AGM at Scarborough, an international day at Terrington, Hinderwell WI's dominoes drive on Monday and an Easter bonanza and bunny drive in aid of Hawsker and Sneaton Snow on Tuesday 7 April.

atters arising – thanks were given by Hawsker Methodist Chapel for the collection at the Christmas carol service, members were asked to help with flowers at Old St Stephen's Church for 13 and 14 June.
The dominoes drive at Fylingthorpe Inn raised £115.50 and volunteers were asked to make sandwiches and provide raffle prizes for the next dominoes drive on 8 March at the same venue.
The craft meeting at Wibury will be on Wednesday 18 March, 2-4pm.
Birthday flowers were presented to Chris Hebron, Gillian Hodgson and Pat Bulmer.
The treasurer, Hazel Dixon, gave the financial report and funds remain healthy due to income from the dance, dominoes drive and monthly raffles.
Provisional plans from the group meeting included a joint dominoes drive with the Esk Valley WIs at the Robinson Institute, Glaisdale, on 23 April.
The group concert is on 22 October, the group rally is at Hawsker on 15 September, the group lunch is on Wednesday 13 May and there will be a Dabble Day at Wibury on 13 June.
Emma Stothard judged the competition for an item of wood, first Gillian Hodgson and second Margaret Noble.
Emma Stothard gave a talk on her work as a sculptor of willow and wire and had brought examples of her work. Drawings and photographs of commissioned work illustrated her talents and provided an insight into the work of a local artist.
Beryl Thompson thanked the speaker and reminded members of the next meeting on 10 March which is the annual bulb show.
Classes are, the WI bulb, three hyacinths, a bowl of daffodils, bulb of own choice and the competition is for a single hyacinth.
The speaker is Mrs A Gullen on Flower Arranging.
