THE April meeting took place in the village hall with president Beryl Thompson in the chair, the minutes of the last meeting were read by Chris Hebron.
Birthday flowers were presented to Ann Mitchell and Beryl Thompson.
Members were reminded of the craft afternoon at Wibury on Tuesday 21 April, Ruswarp's mystery trip on 20 July and the group lunch at The Stables on 13 May.
Forthcoming events are t
o include a group rally on 15 September, group dominoes at the Robinson Institute, Glaisdale on Thursday 23 April and the Dabble Day at Wibury on 13 June.
Various theatre visits are planned, along with federation lunches and the visit to Tissington Well Dressing.
Ann Mitchell is having a coffee morning with cake stall and raffle on Wednesday 29 April for parish funds and there will be a safari supper for the same cause on 6 June.
There is only one resolution at the agenda conference and that is a SOS for Honey Bees.
The speaker, Sandra Brodie, gave a demonstration and talk on Tai Chi and its origins. The speaker was thanked by Beryl Thompson.
The competition, An Item or Origami, was judged by the speaker, first Beryl Thompson, second Ann Edley.
The next meeting will be held on Tuesday 12 May at 7.15pm and the speaker is Mrs R Hutchinson on Egg Decorating and the competition is for a decorated egg (own work).
Visitors are welcome at a cost of £3. Anyone wishing to become a new member should contact Chris Hebron on 605973 or come to the meeting.
